A Bit of History
Did you know that the authors conceived of the idea for A Pocket Guide to Clinical Midwifery while attending midwifery school at Yale University School of Nursing? They were assigned the task of creating a "black book" to serve as a quick reference for essential midwifery topics. They found the "black book" to be invaluable in clinical practice and eventually reached out to Jones & Bartlett Learning about publishing their little midwifery reference. Ten years ago the first edition of A Pocket Guide to Clinical Midwifery: The Efficient Midwife hit the market and hit the mark with midwifery students and professionals alike!
We proudly debuted the Second Edition at the ACNM 64th Annual Meeting & Exhibition in National Harbor, Maryland to an eager crowd of midwives, women's health nurse practitioners, and ambitious students.
