When addressing the health of women, the global health literature has largely focused on reproductive health. Yet, the leading causes of death and DALYs in women globally center on cancer, cardiovascular disease, mental disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, and other non-communicable diseases. In this webinar, Global Health 101 author, Richard Skolnik, broadly explores women’s health and what can be done to address women’s health issues that go beyond reproductive and sexual health. Building on the two career-related chapters in Global Health 101, Richard also comments on women's involvement in global health efforts and how we might enhance the training of women leaders in global health.
