About the texts:
Applied Clinical Informatics for Nurses, Second Edition by Susan Alexander, Haley Hoy, and Karen Frith provides practical, need-to-know information about the effective use of informatics in the clinical setting. It features real-world applications and expanded content on a variety of important topics identified as strategic priorities by the National Institute for Nursing Research and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Statistics for Nursing: A Practical Approach, Third Edition by Elizabeth Heavey provides the statistical background that students need not only to enter the nursing profession but also to advance within it. The Third Edition features new research application articles, more clinically-based explanations and application exercises, newly developed graphic content, IBM SPSS Statistics video tutorials, and updated lesson content for computer application exercises.

Varney’s Midwifery, Sixth Edition by Tekoa L. King, Mary C. Brucker, Kathryn Osborne, and Cecilia M. Jevitt is the gold standard for midwifery practice. It reflects current evidence-based guidelines and addresses care of women throughout the lifespan. The Sixth Edition provides new content on social determinants of health, the changing face of the population, and the population that midwives serve.

Edited by Terry Fulmer and Bruce Chernof, Handbook of Geriatric Assessment, Fifth Edition is a multidisciplinary text that takes a contemporary approach in line with patient and family centered care. With contributions from the foremost experts in the field, it contains the latest information on geriatric assessments for older adults. Completely updated and revised, the Fifth Edition includes several new chapters.

Published in association with the Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC) and edited by Suzanne Hetzel Campbell, Judith Lauwers, Rebecca Mannel, and Becky Spencer, Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care is a trustworthy source for lactation-specific information and education for students, interns, certification candidates, instructors, and clinicians—in any discipline or specialty—who provide care to breastfeeding families.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice: A Guidebook for Role Development and Professional Issues, Fourth Edition by Lisa Astalos Chism provides a comprehensive look at the role and career development for DNP students and professionals. Conversational in approach, it presents historical and current data related to the DNP degree and explores the challenges and opportunities inherent in the BSN-to-DNP degree pathway.
