The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) is the only national organization that represents physician assistants (PAs) in all specialties and all employment settings. The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) exists to support quality emergency medical care and to promote the interests of emergency physicians. Emergency physicians have the responsibility to play the lead roles in the definition, management, evaluation, and improvement of quality emergency care. ACEP issues continuing education credits for physicians and prehospital providers completing the eACLS course, Professional Rescuer CPR course, and ACEP’s EMS series Vital Signs.
