A New Paradigm for Respiratory Care Education
Navigate Respiratory Care is a comprehensive, online 10-course curriculum that uniquely prepares students for a rewarding career as a Respiratory Therapist. Learn more about all 10 courses.
Navigate Respiratory Care: Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology is one of the 10 online courses in the Navigate Respiratory Care curriculum. This course examines the interaction among the body systems that affect respiration. It first covers cardiopulmonary anatomy and the circulatory systems that transport oxygen to the cells of the body. After examining oxygen transport in detail, the course covers diffusion and ventilation. Included are the other body organs and systems that are part of or affect respiration.
Course Features
- Course objectives align to the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) matrix for the new Therapist Multiple Choice (TMC) Examination certification exams
- Authoritative and interactive content is instructionally designed using best practices from Bloom’s Taxonomy and adult learning theory with a focus on developing cognitive intelligence and practical skills needed for success in clinical practice
- Student assessments, interactive activities, and remediation help improve outcomes
- Course management tools help instructors save time and monitor student progress
Benefits
- Easily adaptable for instructor-led courses taught on-ground, online, or in hybrid formats
- Each course can be adopted independently, or adopted as a complete curriculum solution
- All courseware can be used with or without an optional print textbook, depending on course needs
