  • “Good physicians know that medical care is best when doctors and patients form a partnership.  I have known Dr. Barbara Roberts for 30 years.  She is a superb cardiologist, and her new book, describing what patients need to know about their cardiac medicines, reflects that clinical knowledge.  This book contains the information patients need to form effective partnerships with their doctors.  Both patients and their doctors will benefit - patients because they will be empowered to ask prudent questions; their doctors because they will be dealing with patients who understand both the occasional risk and the expected benefit of their medications. This book is useful and should be on all my patients bookshelves.”
