University  of Maryland, School of Medicine

"Ideally, people with hypertension could ask their doctor all the questions that Dr. Townsend covers in this book. They include the

questions that patients most often ask me, and that pertain the most to how they live their life. However, people cannot ask all those questions, for 3 reasons: first, no doctor has the time, second, no patient remembers to ask all the questions. And third, most doctors do not know the answers, or give answers that are incorrect. Dr.Townsend's book will give readers the information they need to know, and will want to know."

    --Sam J. Mann, MD

    Professor of Clinical Medicine

    Division of Nephrology and Hypertension
