  • I don’t think I’ve seen a manuscript so comprehensive created specifically for student-athletes.  I really liked how it was organized to address the challenges that student-athletes face.  You went the extra mile in including the resources sections in each chapter, journal entries, reflective questions and chapter summaries.  [The book is] very user and instructor friendly and gives practical advice on how to deal with these challenges personally or in helping a teammate or friend.

This is the best text created for student-athletes.  It is by far the most in-depth answer to helping our student-athletes deal with the challenges that they commonly face.

-Kathy Kaler, Athletic Academic Counselor, Illini CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator
