Laura Fredricks, JD, is Vice President for Philanthropy at Pace University in New York, NY.   Laura oversees all aspects of fundraising and alumni relations for a staff of 40 and is leading the university into its Centennial Capital Campaign in 2006. She is author of the recently published book, Developing Major Gifts: Turning Small Donors into Big Contributors. She teaches nonprofit business management, major gift and planned giving courses at the University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Columbia University and the Smithsonian Institution. Her international speaking engagements include several presentations at the Association of Fundraising Professional’s International Conference; three International Audio Conferences for the Association; and a Master Class on the Ask at the October 2002 International Fundraising Congress in the Netherlands.
