Overview

Designed for home care nurses, visiting nurses, and home care agencies, this pocket guide is a portable reference for home infusion therapy. Initial chapters cover venous access devices, other infusion devices and pumps, and also address home infusion patient education. Further chapters, in an easy-to-use “bullet format,” are organized by major categories of home infusion therapy, including simple hydration, antimicrobial therapy, parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapy. Comprehensive, yet concise, the text includes charts, graphs, and line diagrams.

Home care nurses and agencies can effectively deliver home infusion therapy when structures and processes are in place to ensure safe, quality practice—Pocket Guide to Home Infusion Therapy is the first book to provide the appropriate knowledge for doing so.
