Christopher G. Azzoli, MD-Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

Christopher G. Azzoli, MD, graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1996. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He was appointed to faculty at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2002, and currently serves as an Assistant Member of the institution in the Department of Medicine, Thoracic Oncology Service. His research interests include the development of new chemotherapy drugs for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, as well as developing better treatment strategies for patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer, which may be treated with surgery. Dr. Azzoli's laboratory research interests include investigation of blood biomarkers to detect the presence of lung cancer in the body in order to measure the success of therapy, or detect early recurrence.
