  • "This is well planed and thorough text, starting from fundamentals of chemistry and biology and then delving in the complex discussion. I also loved the generous amount figures complementing the text very well."
    --Syed A. A. Rizvi, M.Sc., M.S., M.B.A., Ph.D (Chemistry)., Ph.D (Pharmaceutics).

  • "A major strength of this text is the inclusion of evidence based data, classification of the natural products based on physiological systems/disease states that are targeted.  Such classification provides the most benefit especially to health care students.  The learning bridge component provides a good review aspect of the topic as well extends into clinical application of the basic information covered."
    --Abir T. El-Alfy, Ph.D.
    Associate Professor
    Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
    College of Pharmacy
    Chicago State University

  • "Excellent book. I would use this as one of the required textbooks in my class as this may be the only book that provides a good thorough overview of all of the pharmaceutical science disciplines and successfully connect the sciences to the experiential education and practice. This is commendable!"
    --Duc P. Do, Ph.D.
    Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences
    Chicago State University

  • “I think this is an excellent textbook for post-baccalaureate students and for those who have been accepted into pharmacy and need additional preparation.”
~ Hershey S. Bell, MD, MS (Med Ed), FAAFP
Professor, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean, LECOM School of Pharmacy

  • "It presents complex issues in biomedical and pharmaceutical science concisely and at an appropriate level with illustrations. Students will find useful the "Learning Bridge" and review questions, as well as the clinical concepts and tips presented in "Golden Key for Pharmacy Students" sections, useful."

~ Rahmat M. Talukder, PhD, RPh, West Coast University School of Pharmacy (for Doody's Review Service)
