I would like to share my overall impression of CDX. I find it extremely useful in the classroom as I have students prepare for the day’s shop activities by viewing CDX videos and topic knowledge. I require them to complete the topic group quiz with a score of 100% before allowing them in the shop. It provides them with important general knowledge and each student learns at their own pace without me having to spend hours preparing, lecturing, and grading skill assessment.
By assigning CDX tasksheets for a particular ASE area the students have a more active role in their learning and I do not have to constantly remind them of work needed to be done. They can see their progress and monitor their achievement level.
I find CDX very thorough in its training and content. Case in point, I have been certified in 7 ASE areas and just needed Automatic Transmissions to be an ASE certified Master Technician. After spending hours viewing all CDX training content on automatic transmissions I passed my final ASE certification. I have also stressed CDX to my students who are preparing to take any ASE certifications.
In closing let me not forget about the tremendous support that comes along with CDX. The team is always willing to lend a helping hand and listens to complaints and offers suggestions. I know that a lot of the changes in CDX are brought about by customer’s input. They really do listen! The sales team has been extremely helpful in working through funding issues, student log ins, and is always very prompt in returning phone calls or e-mails.
