Sally K. Miller, PhD, CRNP, APN-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, CNE, FAANP has been a practicing nurse practitioner for 17 years and is a board-certified nurse practitioner in four specialties: Acute Care, Adult, Gerontology,and Family. She maintains an active clinical practice with a variety of generalist experience including both outpatient management of primary and acute care needs across the lifespan to inpatient and critical care management of both medical and surgical patients. Dr. Miller has been an associate professor with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Nursing where she taught nurse practitioner students. She has served as a consultant for acute care nurse practitioner program development to university programs nationally. Dr. Miller is a senior lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, providing numerous nurse practitioner continuing education programs annually; she is the principle lecturer for their acute care nurse practitioner certification review program. Additionally, Dr. Miller is a regular speaker at national and regional nurse practitioner conferences. Dr. Miller's publications include a wide variety of clinical and educational topics, and she has an active research program in the field of ghrelin influence on weight-loss maintenance.
