ShowAbout the Author(s)

Ellis & Associates

In the early 80s, Jeff Ellis devised the National Pool & Waterpark Lifeguard Training (NPWLT) course and created a total risk management program for waterparks. Eighty percent of the country’s waterparks are clients of Ellis & Associates. In the early 1990s, a collaborative agreement with the National Safety Council and the National Recreation and Park Association broadened the Ellis & Associtates base to include flat-water parks and facilities and a Learn-to-Swim program. The NPWLT program is currently being used in 42 states, and in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, Spain, Puerto Rico and Hong Kong.
