- 40th anniversary of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon's landmark publication, Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured.
- Clayton E. Jones assumes new role as Chairman of the Board; Ty Field named CEO and James Homer appointed President.
- Jones & Bartlett Learning launches social media network including both Twitter and Facebook. @JBLearning and www.facebook.com/jonesbartlettlearning.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning is the 5th largest college publisher in the US according to the Educational Marketer's 2009 Industry Ranking.
- Alison Pendergast joined Jones & Bartlett Learning as Chief Marketing Officer.
- Dean Fossella joined the senior management team as Chief Technology Officer.
- JB Learning announced the acquisition of Wordware Publishing based out of Plano, Texas. Wordware is one of the leading publishers specializing in the areas of game development, desktop computer graphics, database applications and programming content.
- JB Learning announced the acquisition of CDX Global, a fast growing and innovative provider of flexible and interactive e-learning training programs for automotive students and corporations worldwide.
- JB Learning announced the acquisition of Sleep Ed LLC, a privately held publisher of polysomnography references for sleep technicians and professionals as well as respiratory care students.
- JB Learning launched their first blog, Portfolio.

2008
- Ty Field joined Jones & Bartlett Learning as Sr. V.P. and Chief Financial Officer.
- JB Learning hired Jim Homer as Executive Vice President. Prior to joining JBL, Jim was the Senior Vice President, General Manager of Pearson Learning Solutions overseeing all daily global operations for the group which included product development, marketing, and sales teams operating in post secondary higher education, K-12, government, and corporate channels.
- JB Learning acquired Tarascon Publishing. The Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia is the world’s leading portable drug reference and has been the most popular and trusted source of point-of-care drug information since 1987.
- JB Learning entered into a long-term strategic partnership with the Mexican Red Cross (MRC). Through this global partnership, JBL and MRC will educate Spanish-speaking prehospital providers worldwide.
- JB Learning Acquired ClickSafety, an award winning provider of online safety management solutions designed by and for safety training professionals. The transaction expands Jones and Bartlett’s market leading position in safety training and education.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning partnered with the Tri Service Nurses Association to build custom educational products for the Navy, Air Force, and Army.
- JB Learning partnered with the Canadian Paramedics Association on custom paramedic text.
- JB Learning published GENES IX by Benjamin Lewin, the classic molecular biology text with over one million copies in print.
- JB Learning acquired from Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins and publishes the classic paramedic text, Nancy Caroline's Emergency Care in the Streets, Sixth Edition.

- JB Learning marked their 26th consecutive year of year on year revenue growth.
- JB Learning sponsored $1 million grant to study the effectiveness of online training in fire services.
- JB Learning launched JBLearning, a one-stop resource for technologically advanced distance learning and classroom-based courses.
- JB Learning Acquired Professional Publishing Programs in Fire and Electrical from the National Fire Protection Association.
- JB Learning Acquired Porter and Associates Publishing.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning acquired Virtual Text, Inc. including the bestselling text Genes, with over 1 million copies in print.
- JB Learning partnered with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) on extensive protocol series.
- JB Learning partnered with the US Army on training and customized materials for all US Army combat medics.
- JB Learning acquired minority stake in HealthCare Testing, Inc.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning is the 7th largest college publisher in the US according to the Educational Marketer's 2003 Industry Ranking.
- JB Learning acquired the 21 Pearls of Wisdom titles from Boston Medical Publishers and Caroline's bestselling Paramedic text from Lippincott Williams and Wilkins.
- JB Learning launched the Emergency Care and Safety Institute in partnership with the AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) and ACEP (American College of Emergency Physicians).
- JB Learning acquires Slack, Inc. nursing program.

- JB Learning celebrated 20 year anniversary marking 20 consecutive years of year on year revenue growth.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning completed their largest acquisition to date, acquiring the Aspen Publishers Health Care Book Division from Wolters Kluwer NA.
- JB Learning partnered with the American Society for Law Enforcement Training, launching criminal justice/law enforcement program.

- Donald W. Jones received the James F. Leisy Distinguished Service Award in Higher Education by the American Association of Publishers.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning opened London office to service customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

- Paul Prindle, former President and Founder of PWS Publishers and President of Heinle and Boyd & Fraser, assumed the role of President of Jones & Bartlett Learning, while Donald W. Jones assumed role of Chairman of the Board.
- Donald W. Jones, Jr. joins Jones & Bartlett Learning and assumed direction over all operational functions and international sales.
- New England Business Magazine names Jones & Bartlett Learning one of the 100 fastest growing companies in New England.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning secured a publishing partnership with the National Safety Council in the emergency care field, a successful strategy that will repeat dozens of times over the next decade.

- Jones & Bartlett Learning acquired the Wadsworth Health Sciences publishing program from The Thomson Corporation, quickly moving JB Learning into nursing and health sciences.

- The founding of Jones & Bartlett Learning by Donald W. Jones, the former President of Addision-Wesley Publishers and International Thomson executive.
- The "Bartlett" in Jones & Bartlett Learning refers to Arthur Bartlett, the company's first editor focusing on Life Sciences.
- The corporate logo established is the Nobska Lighthouse, Woods Hole, Massachusetts, home to the original Jones & Bartlett Learning editorial office.
